Terms of Service

By using GuideNow (guidenow.nz), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

GuideNow provides:

• ·An AI-powered travel guide for tourists in Southern Lakes, New Zealand
• ·A curated list of last-minute deals from local operators
• ·Booking assistance and directions to local businesses

The AI is provided for informational and planning purposes only. Responses may not always be accurate, complete, or up to date. Always verify important details directly with operators.

GuideNow offers:

• ·Free tier: 5 AI messages per session per destination
• ·Pro tier: $3.00 NZD for 30 messages total (25 additional), valid for the current session only

Pro sessions are single-use, non-transferable, and non-refundable once the AI has responded to your first paid message. Sessions do not roll over and expire after 24 hours of inactivity.

Payments are processed by Stripe. By purchasing a Pro session, you authorise the charge of $3.00 NZD to your payment method.

Refunds are available at our discretion where the service experienced a technical failure that prevented you from accessing your Pro messages. To request a refund, email support@guidenow.nz within 7 days of purchase.

Deals listed on GuideNow are provided by independent local businesses ("Operators"). GuideNow:

• ·Does not guarantee deal availability — spots may sell out
• ·Does not guarantee prices, which are set by operators and may change
• ·Is not party to any contract between you and an operator
• ·Is not responsible for the quality, safety, or fulfilment of any activity, food, transport, or service

Always confirm deal availability, price, and booking details directly with the operator before committing. Deals auto-expire — an expired deal may still appear briefly until the next page refresh.

You must not use GuideNow to:

• ·Attempt to circumvent session limits or rate limits
• ·Send automated requests or use bots
• ·Submit false, misleading, or harmful content
• ·Attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape the service
• ·Use the AI for any purpose other than personal travel planning in Southern Lakes

All content on GuideNow — including the brand, design, AI system prompts, and curated deal data — is owned by or licensed to GuideNow. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, GuideNow is not liable for:

• ·Any loss or damage arising from reliance on AI-generated content
• ·Cancelled, unavailable, or mis-described deals from operators
• ·Indirect, incidental, or consequential losses

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding the claim.

We do our best to keep GuideNow available at all times, but we do not guarantee uptime. The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, technical issues, or events outside our control. We are not liable for any loss resulting from service downtime.

If you are a business using GuideNow to list deals, separate Operator Terms apply. By submitting a deal or using the operator portal, you agree that all information provided is accurate, you have the right to offer the discount, and you will honour valid redemptions. GuideNow may remove deals that violate these terms without notice.

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be announced via a banner on the website. Continued use of GuideNow after the effective date of the updated terms constitutes acceptance.

These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New Zealand. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder continue in full force.
